Cancellation, Return & Refund Policy
At Pepper and Spices (operating under the brand name GUJJU via gujjumasala.in), we understand the importance of delivering high-quality food products in a timely and safe manner. The following policies ensure fairness to our customers and compliance with food safety standards.
Cancellation Policy
Orders can be canceled within 24 hours of placement, as long as the order has not been shipped. Once processed and dispatched, cancellations are not possible. If the product has been shipped, please refer to the return policy for any issues after delivery.
To initiate a cancellation, contact our customer service team via email or phone during business hours. Once the cancellation is confirmed within the 24-hour window, the full order amount will be refunded to the original payment method within 7 business days, subject to your payment provider's processing time.
Customized or personalized food products, bulk masalas, gift packs, or limited edition items cannot be canceled once processed.
Return Policy
Returns are allowed only for products that are damaged, defective, expired, or incorrectly delivered, provided the issue is reported within 24 hours of receipt. All returned items must be in their original packaging, unopened, and untampered. For hygiene and safety reasons, returns are not accepted for opened or used items.
- Expired Products: notify us immediately with photographic evidence of the expiry date on the packaging.
- Incorrect Products: share photographic proof of the incorrect item; once verified, we will arrange a return and replacement.
- Damaged Goods: share photos of the damaged packaging and item within 24 hours. On verification, we will initiate a return or replacement and bear the cost of return shipping.
- Non-returnable Items: open jars of spices and masalas, perishable goods, and items with broken tamper-evident seals are not eligible for return.
To initiate a return, contact our customer support team with your order number and clear images of the defective or incorrect item.
Refund Policy
Refunds will only be processed for items that are damaged, defective, expired, or incorrectly delivered. We do not process refunds for products that are opened, consumed, or tampered with. Requests must be initiated within 24 hours of receipt.
Once a return has been confirmed and processed, we will initiate a refund to your original payment method. Refunds are completed within 7–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.
If only part of an order is returned, a partial refund will be processed for the item(s) being returned. The refund will exclude shipping charges, unless the return is due to an error on our part.
Refunds will exclude shipping charges where the return is due to customer preference or change of mind. Where the return is due to a product defect, damage, or incorrect delivery, we will cover the cost of return shipping.
If a product is confirmed as lost in transit or delayed beyond 15 working days after dispatch, we will issue a full refund or reshipment after investigating the issue with the courier service.
Shipping Charges for Returns
For product defects, incorrect shipments, or damaged goods, Gujju Pepper and Spice will bear the cost of return shipping. For returns due to customer preference, the customer is responsible for return shipping charges. We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we are not liable for items lost during return transit.
Force Majeure
Gujju Pepper and Spice will not be held liable for any delay or failure in the cancellation, return, or refund process due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, pandemics, transportation strikes, or issues with third-party service providers.
